Feng Chia University Leads All Universities in Personal Application Admissions for Another Consecutive Year
The results of the 115th Academic Year University Personal Application admissions were announced on June 11. With 2,385 students placed, Feng Chia University once again ranked first among all public and private universities nationwide, leading the field of 64 institutions across Taiwan by a margin of 387 students over the second-ranked university. The University's admissions quota utilization rate reached 95.25%, placing it at the top among large-scale institutions with enrollment quotas exceeding 2,000 students.
Feng Chia University maintained the leading position both nationally among large-scale institutions and regionally within Central Taiwan. Among large-scale national peers, Chung Yuan Christian University achieved a utilization rate of 93.67%, Fu Jen Catholic University 87.17%, and Tamkang University 81.17%. Among peer institutions in Central Taiwan, Asia University reached 94.17%, Tunghai University 89.09%, China Medical University 84.90%, and National Chung Hsing University 75.62%—all surpassed by Feng Chia. In the face of the continuing demographic decline brought about by falling birth rates, Feng Chia has sustained a Personal Application quota utilization rate above 95% despite its substantial enrollment scale. Its institutional competitiveness has not diminished but strengthened under adverse conditions, reflecting strong affirmation from students and families regarding the University's academic quality, learning environment, and graduate employment prospects.

Feng Chia University has for the first time designated "Honors Student," recognizing graduating students for outstanding and diverse achievements across academic excellence, interdisciplinary learning, international engagement, professional internships, and public service and leadership.
Feng Chia University will establish a College of Semiconductor in the 116th Academic Year—the only institution in Taiwan to offer a comprehensive talent development system spanning the full semiconductor industry chain, encompassing IC design/EDA, components/integration, manufacturing processes/packaging and testing, as well as semiconductor equipment development, digital twin design, and manufacturing. The College is designed to cultivate semiconductor professionals who possess hands-on capabilities, industry experience, and a global perspective, and who are workforce-ready upon graduation. Feng Chia University has also been named among the universities featured on the supply-chain backdrop of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's keynote address at "GTC Taipei."

Feng Chia University simultaneously live-streamed NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's COMPUTEX keynote address at Sheng-Jih Hall and the Lecture Theater, drawing the participation of nearly 600 students.
Student achievement in the fields of AI and programming has been equally impressive. At the 2026 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference Swift Student Challenge (WWDC Swift Student Challenge), two Feng Chia students distinguished themselves among competitors worldwide, making the University the only institution of higher education in Taiwan with two students simultaneously selected this year—marking the sixth occasion Feng Chia has received recognition in this competition. At the 2026 WildBot Robotics Challenge, which brought together over 20 elite teams from institutions including National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, a cross-institutional team anchored by Feng Chia students earned fourth place nationally. In the Ministry of Education's AI CUP competition, a student team from the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science emerged from a field of over 500 national teams to receive the Ministry of Education Excellence Award.
In the area of industry-academia collaboration, Feng Chia has long partnered with industry leaders including TSMC, Advanced Wireless Semiconductor Company, Macronix, Micron, Sigurd Microelectronics, and ASE Group to jointly cultivate talent through curriculum design, internship programs, and co-established laboratories. The University's adaptive governance, deepened industry-academia linkages, and forward-looking AI-driven digital transformation have also earned it a national ranking of tenth overall—and first among private universities—in *Global Views Monthly*'s "2026 Survey of Most-Favored University Students and Interns by Enterprises," regardless of public or private status, establishing Feng Chia as the foremost private university in the eyes of industry leaders for practical workforce readiness.
Feng Chia University has long championed the educational philosophy that "the entire university is your department," cultivating a flexible learning environment that enables students to freely change majors and enroll in interdisciplinary courses. From consecutive national Personal Application admissions leadership to deep industry-academia collaboration and the forthcoming establishment of a College of Semiconductor—each step forward has been driven not by slogans, but by the University's enduring commitment and sustained action in the cultivation of talent.

The 240,000 Feng Chia University alumni active across all walks of life constitute the University's most steadfast source of support.
